Understanding Job Frequencies

Set up jobs that repeat on your schedule automatically. Learn how frequencies work and when to use each option.

1

What are job frequencies?

A frequency tells the app how often a job should be scheduled. Instead of manually adding each visit, the app calculates when jobs are next due based on your chosen frequency.

2

One-off jobs

Choose 'One off' for jobs without a regular schedule. These are ad-hoc tasks like gutter cleaning that don't repeat automatically but could happen again. When planning, you can filter to include or exclude one-off jobs.

💡One-off jobs stay with the customer, so you can easily schedule them again when needed.
3

Daily jobs

Select 'Days' for jobs that repeat daily or every few days. Set the interval—every 1 day means daily, every 2 days means every other day.

💡Daily frequencies are useful for commercial contracts or intensive cleaning schedules.
4

Weekly jobs

Select 'Weeks' and set an interval. Every 1 week means weekly, every 2 weeks means fortnightly, every 4 weeks means monthly (but on the same weekday).

💡A job set to every 2 weeks on a Tuesday will always fall on a Tuesday.
5

Monthly jobs

Choose 'Months' for jobs that happen once per month or less often. You can set intervals like every 1, 2, or 3 months. The job schedules on the same date each month.

💡If the date doesn't exist (like 31st in February), it schedules on the last day of that month.
6

How next schedules are created

When you complete a job, the next due date is automatically calculated based on the frequency. The job then appears in your Planner when it's due. Skip a job, and the next one still appears on schedule.

7

Changing a job's frequency

Edit any job to change its frequency. Future due dates will follow the new pattern. Existing scheduled visits aren't affected unless you delete them.
