Setting Up Your Starting Location

Configure where you start your working day for accurate commute times, route optimisation, and ETA calculations.

1

Why you need a starting location

Your starting location is used to calculate commute time to your first job, optimise routes more accurately, and show realistic ETAs throughout your day. Without it, the app can't calculate travel times properly.

2

Open working hours settings

In the Planner, tap the day summary header at the top of your job list. This opens the working hours sheet where you can configure your starting location.

💡You can also tap the dashed 'Set starting location' card if you haven't configured one yet.
3

Option 1: Use your current GPS location

Tap 'Use Current Location' to grab your device's GPS coordinates. The app will show the nearby address for verification. Give it a name like 'Home' or 'Depot'.

💡GPS is quick and works offline—handy if you're setting up while at home.
4

Option 2: Search for an address

Tap 'Search Address' to type in an address manually. Select from the suggestions, then give the location a name. This option requires an internet connection.

5

Save your location

Once saved, you'll see your starting location displayed with the name and address. The commute time to your first job now appears at the top of your schedule.

6

Change your location anytime

Tap your saved location card to change it. Useful if you're staying somewhere different for a few days or have multiple depots.
