Connecting FreeAgent

Sync your invoices to FreeAgent accounting software automatically. Save time on bookkeeping and stay Making Tax Digital ready with this popular UK accounting integration.

1

Open Accounting Software

Tap 'More' in the bottom navigation, then scroll down to the Integrations section and tap 'Accounting Software'. You'll see the available providers: Xero, QuickBooks Online, and FreeAgent.

💡FreeAgent is particularly popular with UK sole traders and freelancers. If you bank with NatWest, RBS, or Mettle, you may already have FreeAgent included free with your account.
2

Tap the FreeAgent tile

Under 'Select Provider', tap the FreeAgent tile. You'll be redirected to FreeAgent's secure login page.

💡Have your FreeAgent login details ready before starting.
3

Sign in to FreeAgent

You'll see the FreeAgent login page. Enter your email and password, or tap 'Sign in with Google' if you use that. Tap 'Log in' to continue.

4

Approve account access

You'll see 'Approve account access' showing Scheduling Hero wants to access your account. Tap 'Approve' to grant permission.

💡You can revoke access anytime from FreeAgent's Settings > Approved Applications.
5

Connection complete

You'll see a 'Connected to FreeAgent' success screen confirming your company is connected and invoices will sync automatically. Tap 'Return to App' or wait to be redirected. Back in Scheduling Hero, tap 'OK' on the confirmation dialog.

💡The Connection Status now shows 'Connected' in green, along with a Sync Status section showing invoices synced today, pending, and any that failed.
6

Disconnect FreeAgent (if needed)

To disconnect, open More > Accounting Software. You'll see the Connection Status showing you're connected to FreeAgent. Tap the 'Disconnect' button. This stops future syncing but doesn't affect invoices already in FreeAgent.

💡Disconnecting doesn't delete any data from FreeAgent. Your existing invoices remain untouched.
